Ahmed Musa, the Super Eagles captain, will be available for selection ahead of Nigeria’s international exhibition games against Portugal and Costa Rica.
In November, Jose Peseiro‘s men will face the Seleço das Quinas of Portugal and the 1989 Confederation of North Costa Rica.
Musa, a Sivasspor midfielder, was ruled out of the friendlies after breaking his arm against Sivasspor Külübü on September 18.
A few days later, the former Leicester City winger underwent surgery and has been receiving medical treatment since.
Due to injury, the 30-year-old missed Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to Algeria in Oran last month. The Super Eagles captain was a major doubt for the team’s matches against Portugal and Costa Rica.
Peseiro is relieved that Musa has recovered from his injury. He returned to team training with Sivasspor after missing six games across all competitions.
Before joining Sivasspor in September, Ahmed Musa appeared in five games for Fatih Karagumruk, scoring twice. He has made nine club appearances this season.
Sivasspor defeated CFR Cluj 3-0 in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday, with the former CSKA Moscow forward on the bench.
Before Peseiro announces his squad for the November friendly, the winger will try to improve his match fitness and make his competitive return from injury.
Musa has appeared in nine league games this season, scoring two goals for Fatih Karagumruk before joining Sivasspor in September.
