Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United, has urged the team’s supporters to show Christian Eriksen their appreciation after the Danish international assisted the England star’s 100th goal for the Red Devils.
After scoring the lone goal in Man United’s 1-0 Premier League victory over West Ham United the previous weekend, Rashford accomplished the feat.
Following an assist from Eriksen, the 25-year-old scored a strong header against West Ham.
The goal moved Rashford to joint 20th in the all-time list of Man United goalscorers by bringing up his century for the club.
However, on Tuesday, Rashford asked his Twitter followers to send some love to Eriksen for the assist.
“I know a lot has been said about me scoring that header for my 100th club goal but can we take a moment to appreciate the ball from Christian Eriksen,” Rashford said.
