The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council’s Director of Agro-Commodities, Abubakar Kukah, has stated that the directorate will mobilize farmers for the election of the APC’s flag bearer, Bola Tinubu.
He added that the Directorate’s objective is to devise ways to reach these farmers through the numerous agricultural groups, commodities associations, and cooperatives, noting that farmers make up roughly 70% of the nation’s total population.
This was remarked by Kukah on Wednesday in Abuja during the inauguration of the directorate’s members.
He said: “The event of today is one that avails all of us the opportunity to participate in the process that will bring in Renewed Hope for all Farmers across the Country.
“As we are all aware, the largest voting population in Nigeria are farmers who live predominantly rural Nigeria. Farmers make up about 70% of the entire population of the country. The goal of this Directorate is to device means to reach these farmers through the various farm groups, commodity associations and cooperatives.
“Our task is simple: mobilise these farmers to deliver 25 million votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
Kukah called on members of the directorate to bring our skills, expertise and knowledge even as work to deliver on its mandate.
“Let us all join hands and mobilise all farmers to ensure that No Farmer Is Left Behind,” he added.
