A commercial center in Osogbo, Osun State’s well-known Alekuwodo neighborhood was completely destroyed by fire on Wednesday night, Within Nigeria has learnt.
According to information gathered, the Art Deco-style one-story building at the Akindeko Market was completely damaged by the fire.
Fighting the blaze were men from the Osun State Fire and Rescue Service.
The spread of the fire to nearby stalls has been stopped.
As at the time of filing this report, the cause and other details surrounding the inferno is yet to be ascertained.
