A lawsuit trying to prohibit Siminalaye Fubara, the PDP’s candidate for governor, from running in the 2023 elections has been dismissed by a federal high court in Port Harcourt on Friday.
Chief Morgan West, a PDP candidate, had contested Fubara’s nomination, claiming that among other things, Fubara was not a party member and lacked a legitimate PDP membership card.
But the presiding judge, Justice Adamu T. Mohammed, in his judgement on Friday, threw out the suit filed by the plaintiff for incompetence and lack of jurisdiction.
