The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiawju Bola Tinubu, has scheduled his campaign rallies in the states of Anambra and Imo for Mondays in response to the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, sit-at-home protests that are currently taking place on Mondays in the Southeast.
The former Lagos Governor will hold a campaign rally and engage party stakeholders in Imo State on Monday, November 21, per the schedule provided by the party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
The schedule of events also stated that the campaign train would travel to Anambra State on Monday, 30 January, where Asiwaju’s APC supporters would hold a rally.
Recall that IPOB had in August 2021 declared the sit-at-home as a move to protest and demand the release of their leader Nnamdi Kanu who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.
Although the leadership of the secessionist group had announced the cancellation of the sit-at-home order, some face-less elements have continued to enforce it till date.
