Idol worshipping is not part of Yoruba traditions – Oluwo of Iwo reiterates

Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi Telu I has stated that idol worshipping as a religion is not part of Yoruba traditions.

This was stated by the monarch in a video of an interview he shared on his official Instagram account on Sunday, November 6.

According to the monarch, idol worshipping is not culture or tradition of the Yorubas but a religion of few people.

Oba Akanbi further stated that idol worshipping is responsible for the defamation or damage the Yoruba culture is experiencing.

He also cited idol worshipping as the sole factor responsible for Christians and Muslims antagonism against Yoruba culture.

Olodumare belongs to the Yorubas, he concluded.
