52-year-old blind Nigerien, Bukar Haruna and his 30-year-old son, Saka Haruna, have been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
It was gathered that they hail from the Damagram area of Niger Republic.
Spokesman of the agency, Femi Babafemi, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday said the suspects were arrested while on their way to Niger Republic with 20.5kg of Indian hemp and 10g of Exol-5 in Katsina State.
WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that two Pakistani businessmen were arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, with 8kg of cocaine concealed in a public address system while attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to Lahole, Pakistan via Doha.
Babafemi gave the names of the two suspects as Asif Muhammed (45) and Hussain Naveed (57) who hold Nigerian residence permits suspected to be fake and that they frequented Nigeria under the guise of doing textile business.
