Thomas Tuchel, the former head coach of Chelsea, has again hinted that he would like to coach a national team following the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Given that Gareth Southgate’s contract with the Three Lions expires in 2024, Tuchel would undoubtedly be interested in the England job if it became available following the World Cup in Qatar.
The German was sacked by Chelsea in September and is thought to have turned down several roles, including offers from Aston Villa and Bayer Leverkusen.
When asked if he would consider a job in international management, Tuchel said, as quoted by Metro: “Yeah, why not? I would, I would.
“I didn’t give it too much thought until now.
“But I would consider if it’s the right team and if it has the potential to win trophies like the World Cup and the Euros.”
