Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward for Manchester United, has acknowledged he turned down a €350 million offer to leave in the summer.
There have been numerous reports that Ronaldo has been itching to leave Old Trafford since the summer.
The 37-year-old was reportedly interested in playing for a variety of teams, including Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Sporting Lisbon, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Portugal captain also received a stunning offer from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia, which would have made Ronaldo the highest-paid player in history.
He has now explained why he decided to turn their approach down.
“It’s true, yes it’s true,” Ronaldo told Piers Morgan Uncensored about the €350m offer to play in Saudi Arabia for two seasons.
“But what the press kept saying, the garbage, is that nobody wants me, which is completely wrong.
“And I was happy here to be honest, I was motivated to do a great season here. But they continue to repeat that nobody wants Cristiano.
“How they don’t want a player who scored 32 goals last year, with national team?”
