Chief Emmanuel Bini, a businessman, was murdered by gunmen believed to be assassins in the Agbarho community of Delta State’s Ughelli North Local Government Area.
It was learned that a young man who was allegedly his sales assistant was also fatally shot during the assault.
According to sources, the bloody incident took place on Saturday when the thugs attacked the late Chief’s pharmacy and Point of Sale store, which was located at the well-known Five-Junction in Agbarho.
It was gathered that while the sales boy was shot dead at the shop, the hoodlums whisked away the Chief in a vehicle and his lifeless body was eventually discovered later on Monday morning in the Ebrumede community, Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident.
He stated however that the police are “aware of the killing of the Chief only.”
