World Cup: We’re weaker without him – Senegal’s Mendy makes confession about Mane

Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy of Senegal and Chelsea has acknowledged the indispensability of Sadio Mane as a teammate.

The Teranga Lions of Senegal, according to Mendy, are less effective without Mane on the roster.

The Chelsea star was reacting to Mane’s injury amid the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Mane was due to represent Senegal at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which begins on Sunday, but has been forced to withdraw from the tournament due to injury.

Reacting, Mendy told Wettbasis, “When I found out about Sadio’s injury, I was shocked for a few minutes.

“He’s our best player, our leader. Without him, we might be more unpredictable from a playful point of view but still weaker. He’s simply irreplaceable.”
