The Lagos Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) said on Sunday that one Dr Femi Olaleye, the Medical Director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, would be arraigned shortly for the alleged defilement of a 16-year-old girl.
The DPP claimed this in a letter sent to news outlets in Lagos by its Principal State Council, Mr Oluwagbenga Alagbe.
The arraignment will take place on Monday, November 21 before Justice Ramon Oshodi of the S3xual Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Ikeja, according to the letter.
“Olaleye will be facing a two-count charge bordering on defilement and s3xual assault by penetration. He must appear before the Honourable Court and also make provision for a legal practitioner of his choice,” Alagbe said.
The DPP’s Principal State Council also revealed that a copy of information papers and proof of evidence were attached to the notification of arraignment already issued to the accused.
