The Lawyers’ Network for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (LANBAT) has implored Nigerians not to get carried away by politicians making series of promises to them.
LANBAT said it is only the Asiwaju Tinubu and Kashim Shettima joint presidential ticket that has provided the electorate with a clear manifesto and action plans on how to make Nigeria greater, if they win the forthcoming poll.
Likewise, the Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has also declared its support for Asiwaju Tinubu.
This was announced by MUSWEN President Rasaki Oladejo while addressing reporters on the sideline of the seventh General Assembly of the organisation at the University of Ibadan (UI).
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that MUSWEN, at the event, presented bursary awards to 115 successful beneficiaries, drawn from across the Southwest states.
Oladejo said MUSWEN’s support for the APC candidate alongside others was not based on his religious affiliation but competence as well as his track records.
“MUSWEN has already made its intention known. We are supporting Asiwaju Tinubu to become president. Our support for Tinubu is based on his competence and track records.
“We can all see his performance as governor of Lagos and the state, till date, remains the number one most viable state in Nigeria, with lots of innovations,” he said.
