Avram Glazer, the owner of Manchester United, praised Cristiano Ronaldo after the 37-year-old’s deal at Old Trafford was terminated.
Glazer thanked the Portuguese international for his support of the team and wished him luck as the football legend moves on.
Following an explosive interview a couple of weeks ago, the Red announced on Tuesday that the 37-year-old will no longer return to the club after the World Cup break.
The Glazer family, the Red Devil’s hierarchy, the manager, Erik ten Hag and fellow teammates were all at the receiving end in Ronaldo’s interview with ace journalist, Piers Morgan.
But when asked for a response to Ronaldo’s barbs, Glazer told Sky Sports, “I’m going to tell you about Cristiano Ronaldo,’ Glazer told Sky News.
“He’s a great Manchester United player, I appreciate everything he’s done for the club and I wish him the best luck in the future.”
