Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo met with Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.
This comes just days after the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) slammed Obi for his presidential ambitions in 2023.
WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that Soludo stated the reasons Obi cannot win the 2023 election in an article titled ‘History beckons and I will not be silent (Part 1)’.
The Anambra Governor claimed in the piece that he is aware of Peter Obi’s game.
Even though he knows Obi will not win, the former CBN governor wishes him well and even prays for him.
He said:
Let’s be clear: Peter Obi knows that he can’t and won’t win. He knows the game he is playing, and we know too, and he knows that we know.
The game he is playing is the main reason he didn’t return to APGA. The brutal truth (and some will say, God, forbid) is that there are two persons/parties seriously contesting for president: the rest is exciting drama!
Obi & Soludo Meet
According to this publication, Peter Obi and Charles Soludo met at St. Patrick’s Cathedral Awka during the Thanksgiving mass for Most Rev. Paulinus C. Ezeokafor, who turns 70 today, November 24, 2022.
Just before the mass began, Governor Soludo reportedly stepped out of his pew and walked over to Peter Obi’s seat to greet him.
