Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has reacted to Senator Ademola Adeleke’s appointment as Osun State’s executive governor.

According to WITHIN NIGERIA, Adeleke took the oath of office and allegiance as Osun state governor on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Obi congratulated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain on his appointment as the state’s sixth governor in a Twitter thread on Monday night, describing his inauguration as “dogged and resilient.”

The presidential candidate wished Adeleke a fruitful and productive governorship. Obi urged Governor Adeleke to serve the people of the state during his term.

The Labour Party presidential candidate’s tweets read:

I congratulate the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke and the good people of Osun State, on his inauguration and formal commencement of the elected mandate of his people.

Beyond our partisanship in politics, every successful manifestation of the democratic process, above all impediments, is a triumph of the true will of the majority and a source of shared joy to all who desire the best for our dear country.

I salute the doggedness and resilience of Governor Adeleke and wish him a fruitful and productive tenure in the service of his people.

Beyond our partisanship in politics, every successful manifestation of the democratic process, above all impediments, is a triumph of the true will of the majority, and a source of shared joy to all who desire the best, for our dear country.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the newly inaugurated governor defeated his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola, during the July 16 governorship election in the State.

He won the election on the platform of the PDP after losing out in the 2018 gubernatorial election.
