Senegal have booked their place in the round of 16 at Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Teranga Lions cemented their qualification to the knockout stage after a well deserved victory over Ecuador.
They beat the South American nation 2-1 in the final game of group B.
The AFCON 2021 champions scored in each half through Ismaila Sarr and Kalidou Koulibaly respectively to become the first African nation to make it out of the group stage at the World Cup.
The Senegalese scored first from the penalty spot after Sarr was brought down in the penalty area.
However, Ecuador midfielder, Caicedo restored parity some minutes into the second half when as he tapped in from close range from a corner kick, but the Senegalese responded immediately to restore their lead after the ball fell kindly to Koulibaly who struck the ball beautifully to the top corner beyond the reach of the helpless Ecuador goalkeeper.
