Former Super Eagles attacker Julius Aghahowa has urged Morocco to remain calm against Spain.
The Moroccans advanced to the round of 16 after defeating the Canadians on Thursday.
Morocco finished first in Group F with seven points after winning two games and drawing one.
This, however, has received widespread praise from African sports fans around the world.
As the Atlas Lions prepare to face Spain in the 2022 FIFA World Cup match in Qatar, the ex-Super Eagles star has revealed how Walid Regragui can defeat the Spaniards.
The team, led by Romain Sass and La Furia Roja, will compete on Tuesday at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan in an attempt to advance to the quarterfinals.
Aghahowa, who accompanied the Super Eagles to the 2002 World Cup, which was co-hosted by South Korea and Japan, emphasized that the Atlas Lions should not lose their cool in the face of the previous world champions.
While speaking to Brila FM, he said;
The performances of the African teams at the World Cup has shown that our game on the continent has improved,”
As for Morocco, I feel that they should take each game one step at a time. It will be a very difficult game for them in the round of 16. They need to be calm, don’t panic,” he added.
