Former professional boxer Floyd Mayweather has reportedly offered a massive sum of $2 billion to buy one of the largest NBA teams in the United States, which is a positive development.
When you consider the money Mayweather earned during his illustrious boxing career before he retired, he ranks among the world’s wealthiest athletes.
Given that Mayweather owns numerous enormous mansions, pricey cars, jewellery, and almost anything else an American can desire, he is known as “The Money Man.”
Numerous attempts have been made by some promoters to bring Mayweather back into the ring since he retired, but he has resisted, saying he is finished with boxing.
The 45-year-old also stated emphatically that exhibitions pay him more money than professional fights. The name of the NBA team Mayweather wants to purchase was not mentioned in the Daily Loud report, but it will undoubtedly become public knowledge soon.
As a professional boxer, he competed between 1996 and 2017, retiring with an undefeated record and winning 15 major world championships from super featherweight to light middleweight.
