Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Portugal, claimed that his squad had already accomplished its first two goals at the 2022 FIFA World Cup being held in Qatar.
After Portugal’s 2-1 loss to South Korea in the World Cup final group stage on Friday night, Ronaldo tweeted this statement using his official Twitter account.
Two goals from Kim Young-gwon and Hwang Hee-chan gave South Korea the victory over Portugal.
Ricardo Horta did score for Portugal in the first half.
“Our first two objectives were achieved: qualification and leadership in our group. But there is still much more to come! “Come on, Portugal!” Ronaldo tweeted.
Portugal’s next World Cup round-of-16 tie is against Switzerland on Tuesday.
