Following the completion of knockout matches on Tuesday, all quarter-final fixtures for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar have been confirmed.
Morocco, the only African team in the competition, defeated Spain on Tuesday in a tense round of 16 matches that ended in a penalty shootout.
Morocco held on to a goalless draw against Spain at the Education City Stadium for ninety minutes and extra time before winning the penalty shootout.
Spain was dominant throughout the game, but they could not advance to the Quarter Finals because Morocco played well in defence.
In the penalty shootout, Spain was defeated 3-0. On the other hand, Portugal defeated Switzerland 6-1, with Goncalo Ramos scoring three goals.
