The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has urged his supporters to collect vote buyers’ money and vote against them in the 2023 general elections.
Obi stated this on Tuesday while addressing his supporters during a campaign rally at Confluence Stadium in Lokoja, Kogi state.
The former Anambra governor said, “If they bring money, collect their money but vote against them at the polls. Tell them we want to follow those who know the road. Tell them that you are tired of being in the wilderness.”
Meanwhile, he promised to increase the national minimum wage and revive the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company to give strong backing to the economy.
Obi said, “The steel industry is very important to the development of the economy. Therefore, we will liaise with professionals and experts who know what to do with the Ajaokuta steel company immediately after we are sworn in.”
