Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, has denied hurriedly leaving the stage during a rally in Minna, Niger State.
Tinubu explained that the crowd that greeted him was so large that he only had a few minutes to address them before heading to other meetings in the state.
The APC presidential candidate denied rumours that he rushed out of the campaign stage due to his health.
He said the crowd at the rally was unprecedented.
He disclosed this through the spokesman of his campaign team, Bayo Onanuga.
A statement by Onanuga reads partly: “A massive crowd of APC supporters welcomed the presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to Minna on Wednesday, as he arrived for the mega rally.
“The cheering crowd was unprecedented, according to journalists at the Trade Fair Complex, venue of the rally.
“Tinubu, who held another successful rally in Kaduna on Tuesday, arrived in Minna in the evening of the same day for a series of meetings with APC leaders.”
Lately, some political stakeholders have questioned Tinubu’s health status.
They noted that Tinubu might not be able to function as Nigeria’s president due to his alleged failing health.
