On Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari met with US Vice President Joe Biden at the White House in Washington, DC.
The meeting, also attended by other African leaders, was on the sidelines of the US-Africa Leaders Summit, which started on Tuesday, December 13.
The high-level summit is expected to demonstrate the United States’ commitment to Africa and to emphasize the significance of US-Africa relations and increased cooperation.
Earlier in the day, Buhari attended the US-Africa Business Forum (USABF), hosted by the US Department of Commerce.
Before returning to Nigeria, Buhari and the Nigerian delegation will attend a US-Nigeria business and investment roundtable hosted by the Corporate Council of Africa.
The president is scheduled to return to the country on Sunday, December 18.
