Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) have arrested two suspected tricksters in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The NSCDC Plateau State commandant , Alexander Barunde, who announced this when he paraded the suspects on Friday in Jos, said that the suspects, both residents of Karu, Nasarawa State, where arrested on Dec. 12.
“On Dec. 12, at about noon, our men arrested two persons for duping unsuspecting citizens.
“The suspects were about to dupe one Mr Danjuma Dalong of his N288,000 when our men arrived in the spot and arrested them.
“Investigation revealed that the two suspects resides in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, went to Bokkos with sole aim of duping innocent citizens.
“Exhibit recovered from them include a black polythene bag containing some papers cut in size of money suspected to be what they use in tricking their victims,” he said.
Barunde said that the suspects belongs to a syndicate that specialises in duping unsuspecting citizens in the state, adding that investigation is ongoing to unmasked many of their kinds and to bring them to face the law.
He said that the suspects would be charged to court for persecution after investigations are concluded.
