Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom congratulated Senator Bukola Saraki, former President of the Senate, on his 60th birthday, describing him as a political giant.
The Governor praised Saraki for his consistency in promoting democratic ideals in the country.
He described Saraki as a great political leader and one of the defenders of democracy, working tirelessly to keep democracy alive in Nigeria.
Ortom noted that Saraki has consistently demonstrated good faith and leadership over the years, saying “he believes in a united Nigeria of equal opportunities for all citizens.
As the governor of Kwara state, Saraki demonstrated capacity and competence. As President of the Senate, he took the nation as his constituency. From these antecedents, he has proven to be a good manager of human and material resources.
The Governor stated that the Benue State government and people are proud of Saraki’s accomplishments over the years.
Ortom wished Saraki a brighter political future while advising him to be firm and focused in the coming years.
He wished Saraki good health, wisdom, and courage in the coming years.
