Piers Morgan, a controversial British journalist, has made a startling claim, implying that the Camel virus that rocked the France squad was planned.
Days before the eagerly awaited final, the flu-like Camel virus ravaged France, making a lot of the playing body unwell.
Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate then succumbed to the virus after Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano did so before the semifinals.
However, the quartet recovered in time and even appeared in the enthralling World Cup final.
Aside from the action-packed nature of the Grand Finale which left social media buzzing, TV personality, Piers Morgan continues to muddy the waters on the micro-blogging App, Twitter, per Express.
Morgan, who had predicted earlier that Argentina will lose the final leaving Messi in tears, alleged the French team were actually poisoned.
It wasn’t a virus, the French team clearly got deliberately poisoned.

It remains to be seen if the Local Organizing Committee of the 2022 World Cup and world governing body FIFA will rebuff the claims of Morgan.
Despite Morgan’s wild allegations, Argentina secured their third World Cup crown after edging France 4-2 on penalties following an enthralling six-goal thriller, according to the Athletic.
