I Was In Captivity Under Akeredolu – Ex-Deputy

Agboola Ajayi

Agboola Ajayi, a former Deputy Governor of Ondo State, has urged residents to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming elections.

Ajayi, the candidate for the Ondo South Senatorial District, urged Ondo residents to vote out the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The senatorial candidate who served as Deputy Governor under an APC-led government stated that the party does not deserve to return to power, claiming that he was imprisoned while in office.

Ajayi stated this at a town hall meeting in Igbokoda, the headquarters of the state’s Ilaje Local Government Area.

While addressing party members, the former deputy governor stated that he resigned on purpose because he was unable to free the people of Ondo South from slavery.

He said;

I purposely resigned my office as deputy governor when I discovered that I’m in captive under the guise of family government.

While urging people to vote for the PDP in the general election, the PDP chieftain stated that if he and Kolade Akinjo were elected as Senator and Federal House of Representatives members, respectively, there would be a rapid economic transformation of the people in the area.

Ajayi served as the deputy governor of Ondo State during Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s first term.
