Doyin Okupe, a Labour Party (LP) chieftain, has reacted to his replacement as Director-General (DG) of the Obi-Datti presidential campaign council (PCC).
WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that Akin Osuntokun, a former presidential aide, had been named the new DG of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council.
Okupe resigned on his own accord last week after being found guilty of violating the Money Laundering Act by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of a Federal High Court in Abuja on December 19, 2022.
According to the court, Okupe was found guilty of receiving more than N200 million in cash from former National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki.
Okupe was found guilty of counts 34, 35, 36, and 59 by the court and sentenced to two years in prison with the option of a fine.
