Alhaji Abdulmalik Zubairu, the APC candidate for the Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency in Zamfara, has given N50,000 to each casualty of the military airstrike.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital Gusau is now caring for the 19 victims of the tragedy from the settlements of Malele and Mutunji in the Dansadau emirate, Maru Local Government Area.
When he visited the victims at the hospital on Tuesday to express his sympathies, Zubairu gave the contribution.
Each of them received the money from the candidate to ease their suffering and challenges as a result of the mistakenly carried out attack.
He described the incident as unfortunate and worrisome.
“I was highly disturbed when I received the tragic news of this ugly incident.
“A single word alone can not quantify my worries about this terrible and annoying incident,” he said.
Zubairu urged the victims to consider the incident as a test from the Almighty Allah.
“As Muslims, we have no option than to accept what ever Allah destined for us.
“I am using this medium to extend my condolences to the families of the deceased, injured victims currently receiving treatment in the hospital and Dansadau Emirate Council”, he added.
Zubairu further extended similar condolences to Zamfara Government and Maru Local Council.
According to him, tackling insecurity through engagement of youths on skills acquisition is one of his major blueprints, if elected to represent Maru/Bungudu federal constituency in the 2023 general elections.
“Part of my blueprints is to engage youths on skills acquisition aimed at shielding our teeming youths from engaging in activities fuelling insecurity,” he said.
