With the 2023 general election drawing close, the All Progressives Congress in Ondo state has charged support groups within the party to work assiduously towards bringing those in other political parties and neutrals into the APC fold

Chairman of the ruling APC in the State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who gave the charge on Tuesday, implored support groups to infiltrate opposition political parties to the advantage of the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tunubu.

Adetimehin told the support groups to forge a united front for the party’s victory at the polls, stressing that their focus should be on those who are not members of APC.

The chairman of the party stated this during a rally organised by the Asiwaju Tinubu Shettima Coalition for Good Governance, ATSCGG, Ondo State chapter made up of over 150 groups in the state.

During the rally which started from Fiwasaye axis of Akure to the party’s secretariat, Adetimehin said “I have seen many rallies before this but this one is impressive. But just wait till January 7, we’ll lock Ondo State down.

“APC is united in Ondo State. Since the present republic, Ondo State has never had it so good like this. If you look at AD era, 80 percent of them are in APC. If you look at PDP era, 80 percent of then are in APC. In Labour Party era, 80 percent are in APC. All we need to do is to have coercion, work together and tolerate one another. If we can do that, we are good to go.

“As support groups within the party do not to concentrate on APC, all you need to do is to go to other parties to decimate, woo and break them into their sizes and bring them to APC. Moblise people into the party, not members of the party.”
