The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, and the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret. ), are currently meeting behind closed doors in the President’s office in the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
The Senate rejected the President’s proposal to restructure the N22.7 trillion in Ways and Means advances that the Federal Government had obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria the day before the meeting.
Lawan, who arrived at the State House just before 3:30 p.m., is likely to talk about Buhari’s loan request as well as other related concerns with the 2023 appropriate law.
This is a developing story…
