On Friday, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
The governor, in a post on his social media handles, said he was warmly received by Buhari this afternoon.
The Federal Government’s ability to step up intervention and support for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads under its purview was a major topic of discussion, he claimed, as well as the overall socioeconomic development of Ogun State.
Abiodun said the visit was also to bring President Buhari up to speed on the progress so far made on the Agro-Cargo Airport being constructed by his administration.
“This afternoon, I was at the State House, Abuja where I was warmly received by President Muhammadu Buhari
“Our discussion centred on the overall socioeconomic development of Ogun State, with particular focus on road infrastructure and how the Federal Government can intensify intervention and support on the reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads under its purview.
“It was also a means to bring the President up to speed on progress so far made on the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport being constructed by our Administration, among others since his last visit.”
