Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation and All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has mocked former President Olusegun Obasanjo for endorsing Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.
WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that Obasanjo, in a New Year message titled “My Appeal to all Nigerians, particularly young Nigerians,” endorsed Obi as President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor in 2023.
Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obi compared Peter Obi to a needle with thread attached from North and South, and he may not get lost.
In response, Fani Kayode, in a post shared on Twitter today (Sunday), acknowledged Obasanjo as everyone’s father and stated that she will always respect him.
Obasanjo’s endorsement of Peter Obi, according to the APC chieftain, is not only inexplicable but also a waste of time.
Fani Kayode went on to say that it is the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu’s turn to be president, and nothing can change that.
He wrote:
OBJ remains a father to us all & I will always respect him. Despite that I reserve the right to disagree with him when & where necessary. His endorsement of @PeterObi is not only inexplicable but also an exercise in futility. It is @officialABAT’s time: nothing can change that.
