A fire has broken out near the Relief Market in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, but the traders who own the plaza, which is home to goods worth billions of naira, have not yet arrived back from the Yuletide holidays.
Although there are few specifics about the fire incident, some witnesses claim that it broke out Friday in a store inside the plaza.
Martin Agbili, the state fire chief, did not return calls or text messages sent to his mobile number.
However, as of the time this report was filed, the men of the state fire service were already battling to put out the fire on the ground.
