Hundreds of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters descended on Akure’s MKO Abiola Democracy Park to greet the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the former Governor of Lagos State has arrived in the South West for a mega rally ahead of the presidential election in February.
It was learned that members of the ruling APC from the state’s 18 LGAs and party supporters were colourfully dressed to greet Tinubu at the rally site.
There was heavy vehicular traffic on the ever-busy Oba Adesida road, and police officers and other security personnel were seen struggling to control traffic to the rally venue.
Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, the state Commissioner for Information, told reporters at the rally that the rally was “a new dawn” for the state and “a renewed hope” for Nigeria.
Ademola-Olateju expressed confidence that the upcoming presidential election would usher in Tinubu as Nigeria’s next president and carry on President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacy.
The commissioner stated that Ondo State supports Tinubu and that if Tinubu is elected President, Nigeria will be a better place to live.
As a result, the commissioner urged residents of the state to turn out in large numbers on February 25th to vote for Tinubu.
