The Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, will appear on Channels Television’s People’s Town Hall tonight.
WITHIN NIGERIA has learned from Channels TV that Obi and his Vice Presidential candidate will meet on Sunday, January 8 to discuss their agenda and manifesto.
The Labour Party and its presidential candidates would talk about the party’s plans for the economy, security, education, and health, among other things.
It was learned that the Presidential Town Hall series, which is being organized in collaboration with the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room and its partners, is an effort to educate Nigerians about the various candidates running in the upcoming general election.
According to the report, this engagement is centred on how to sustain Nigeria’s shared democracy, providing Nigerians with a golden opportunity to ask important questions and receive specific solutions to the nation’s many challenges.
Previously, the presidential candidates of the People Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and his running mate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, as well as the flag bearer of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso and his running mate Bishop Isaac Idahosa, participated in the town hall series.
Other presidential candidates are expected in the weeks leading up to the 2023 general election.
