Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, met with governors elected on the ruling party’s platform on Tuesday.
Tinubu’s meeting with the APC governors will take place just a few weeks before the country’s presidential election in 2023.
The meeting was convened by the former governor of Lagos State to plan how the ruling party will retain power in 2023.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure will end in May 2023, after two terms in office.
The meeting was attended by the ruling party’s vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi, the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, the Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu, and several others.
The meeting’s details had not been released at the time of filing this report.
