Ms. Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, one of the leaders of Nigeria’s entertainment sector and the creator of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), has passed away.
Prior to her passing on Tuesday morning, it was discovered that she had been in a coma since Saturday at St. Nicolas Hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Because Peace still has an elderly mother, the news of her death, according to various sources and those close to her family, was handled with the utmost sensitivity.
Zik Zulu Okafor, a former president of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP), has confirmed her untimely death.
Also, award-winning producer, Obi Emelonye, had posted on his social media handle about her demise.
Peace Anyiam-Osigwe was until her death the president of the Association of Movie Producers, (AMP) and commanded the respect of many not only in Nigeria but the African movie industry.
