Bashir Ahmad, presidential media aide and Deputy Director, Special Media Projects/New Media for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has mocked Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi for the low turnout at his Anambra rally.
In a tweet on Tuesday evening, Ahmad stated that the outcome of the Labour Party’s Anambra rally proves Peter Obi is not a candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
He contended that if the Labour Party candidate received such a low turnout in his own state, then the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu, has only one opponent in the 2023 election.
The presidential aide who went on to name Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar as the sole challenger to Tinubu boasted that they know how to defeat the former Vice President.
He wrote:
Just saw footages from Peter Obi’s rally in Anambra, which was tagged as “homecoming” by his supporters. If that was all he could get in his home state, then it’s so right to say Asiwaju has only one opponent, that’s AA, who we know very well how to squarely defeat at the polls.
