Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, met with the Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd Justin Welby, on Wednesday.
The two personalities met in Westminister, London, England.
WITHIN NIGERIA understands that some PDP chieftains were also in Atiku’s entourage during his meeting with the British cleric.
The meeting was attended by Aminu Tambuwal, Director-General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation (PCO) and Governor of Sokoto State; Ndidi Elumelu, House of Representatives Minority Leader; Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and Senator Dino Melaye.
Speaking about their meeting, Atiku stated that they discussed promoting better humanity and improving the lot of the common man.
Welby, according to the PDP candidate, is also a pleasant person.
Taking to his Twitter account, the former Vice President of Nigeria wrote:
The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Most Revd Justin Welby, is an amiable personality. My meeting with him, which ended not long ago, dwelled on shared beliefs in promoting better humanity and ensuring that the lot of the common man is improved. -AA
