Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has surpassed Sir Alex Ferguson as the manager to reach 20 victories the quickest in the club’s history.
Following United’s 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic in the Carabao Cup quarterfinals last week, Ten Hag reached the milestone.
Recall that the Dutch manager took charge as manager of the club last summer.
United has now won eight consecutive competitive games, with rival Manchester City up next on Saturday.
In other news, Atletico Madrid is said to have chosen three managers to succeed current head coach Diego Simeone should the Argentine depart the LaLiga powerhouses of Spain soon.
Atletico Madrid has reportedly started looking for Simeone’s replacement after learning that he will leave the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium at the end of the current season after nearly 12 years with the team.
Simeone, who oversaw Los Rojiblancos’ most prosperous period in recent memory, which included two La Liga titles, appears destined to move on to new challenges in the summer of 2023.
