Next week’s Chatham House research event is anticipated to feature Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement posted on its website on Friday, the Royal Institute of International Affairs explained that the event is a part of a series of activities and products looking at Nigeria’s elections and political developments in 2023.
The INEC chairman will talk about preparations and priorities for ensuring electoral integrity and inclusion on January 17, 2023, per its event schedule.

Yakubu will also go over the major issues and strategies for holding the elections, such as election security and the application of modern technological systems.
On January 18, 2023, Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), will also speak about alternative service delivery and policy options in Nigeria, with a focus on the nation’s education sector and broader priorities for ensuring secure and inclusive service delivery.
