BREAKING: Gunmen attack Imo INEC office, kill one, say ‘no election in Biafra land’

Gunmen suspected to be Eastern Security Network, ESN, militants, have killed one person after attacking the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office, at Ahiazu Local Government Secretariat in Imo State.

According to the DAILY POST, the gunmen, who were about 20 in number, operated with two SUVs, one blue-colored Lexus, and an ash-colored Highlander.

The hoodlums, dressed in ESN regalia stormed the INEC office at Ahiazu Local Government Secretariat in search of staff distributing Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs.

It was gathered that the dead body of the slain guard has been deposited at the morgue.

When contacted, the state police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Henry Okoye, said he was yet to resume duty but asked to reach the former PPRO, Michael Abatam, who refused to comment on the development, Daily Post reports.
