Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna Central in the Nigerian National Assembly, has reacted to photos of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu sleeping during the presidential candidates meeting.
WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that the National Peace Committee, led by General Abdulsalami Abubakar, held a meeting on Friday, January 20, 2023, for all 2023 presidential candidates and party leaders.
The meeting, according to Abdulsalami, was organized to ensure the proper conduct of the candidates, their parties, and other stakeholders, particularly during the campaigns leading up to the elections.
Sowore claimed on Twitter hours later that Bola Tinubu slept through the meeting and made no contribution while his party chairman spoke on his behalf.
In response to the news, Shehu Sani, in a post shared on Twitter, stated that people do not always close their eyes when they are sleeping or napping.
He noted that closing one’s eyes could be for prayer or philosophical reflection, and the former governor of Lagos State could be doing the latter.
He wrote:
When someone closes his eyes it’s not just for sleeping or napping. It might be for prayers or philosophical thinking. Asiwaju may be doing the latter.
