Gunmen kidnapped three persons over the weekend after invading a settlement in Iwo, Osun State.
It was gathered that the hoodlums invaded the community at about 10 pm last Friday, shooting sporadically to scare the people. The shooting was said to have caused pandemonium as residents scampered to safety.
According to The Nation, a source in the community said the gunmen kidnapped three people.
The state police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola, who confirmed the incident said one Hamidat Ibraheem reported the case to the police.
Opalola addead that, “The gunmen abducted Hamzat Ibrahim, Deere Ibrahim, and a 38-year-old man. Our officers, hunters, and other local security agencies are combing the forest to rescue the victims.”
