For President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit, the government of Katsina State has proclaimed a 2-day holiday.

On Thursday and Friday, President Buhari is scheduled to visit the state of Katsina to officially open a number of projects that the governor, Aminu Masari, has overseen.

In order to allow employees in the state and local government workforce to receive the President, the state government has decreed Thursday and Friday as work-free days.

This was stated in a statement by the Permanent Secretary of the state’s Ministry of Culture and Home Affairs, Alhaji Sani Kabomo and provided to newsmen on Wednesday in Katsina.

However, the state government said in the statement that the work free days would not affect workers within the Federal Civil Service, banks and essential service providers.

It also requested the affected workers and the general public to come out en masse to welcome President Buhari and his entourage to Katsina State.

Kabomo also advised people in the state to exhibit a high sense of decorum and traditional hospitality during the visit.
