Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the standard bearer for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has received a commitment from the Nigeria Fruits Sellers Association (NFSA) that he will receive more than 7 million votes on February 25.
This was said by the association’s chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim A. Abdullah, on Thursday in Abuja when he paid a visit to the Agro Commodities Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
Abdullah announced the association’s support and mobilization campaign, saying: “With our 26 million members nationwide, we are willing to work for Asiwaju and willing to reveal our structures to the polling units to assure the success of the APC presidential candidate in the election.
“With the work, we have done so far in the mobilization of our members, we will deliver over 7 million votes for Asiwaju.”
Women Leader of the association, Hajia Eneb Amina Ajango, said their engagement with the Agro commodities directorate was to also present some of their challenges to form part of the policy document to be presented to Asiwaju on how best to support farmers when he becomes the president.
“We are ready and willing to support Asiwaju but we want to appeal to the directorate to include us in their plans so that our members can benefit from government intervention for farmers in the country when Tinubu becomes the President.
