Nigeria’s lanky striker Paul Onuachu is set to join Southampton.
This is sequel to the acceptance of the English club’s €21 million bid by his Belgian club, KRC Genk.
The Saints will pay €18m plus €3m in add-ons for the Super Eagles forward.
According to Belgian news outlet, HLN, Onuachu will pen a three-and-a-half-year contract with Dean Jones’ side.
The 28-year-old will now become the second Nigerian at the South Coast club with Joe Aribo already a key part of the squad.
Onuachu has already scored 16 goals in 19 league appearances for Genk this season.
Southampton will hope his arrival can nudge them to Premier League safety.
The Saints are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table with 15 points from 20 matches.
